I am in a total mess. I always check my Gmail account whenever I go to my favorite local coffee shop using my iPad. Now, I’m in a whole lot of an even bigger trouble. My father has just given me an Ipad as a birthday gift and I was on the process of transferring data from my old gadget to my new Ipad when something happened. I spilled some Mocha Frappuccino on it. And it wouldn’t turn on. So what’s the use of transferring my files to a coffee flavored Ipad that would not even work?
For the meantime, I’ll just let my useless Ipad sit at my office table. My point is: Why do I have to cry over spilled milk? Or a spilled coffee, that is. If it’s lost, then I just have to shake the dust off my feet and move on. But when I related the incident to a buddy, he advised me to sell my Ipad. But I wonder? Who’s going to spend money for something that is apparently broken? I bet they would just buy one that’s brand spanking new!
Putting my hopes still, I decided to key in ‘sell my ipad’ to Google’s search bar. Luckily, I was directed to cashforipads.com. I tried to see whether this website allows me to sell my ipad in any condition, especially that mine was water damaged. Because if they do, I really am determined to sell my Ipad all the more that it now has rich coffee aroma.
Though, I still had my doubts about online transactions. Why not? Many have been victims of fraud and scams on the internet. Some private information were pilfered by phony websites. I don’t want to sell it only to find out I was stood up by some illegitimate sites. That’s why I did some research on cashforipads.com to see if it is safe to sell my Ipad there. True enough, I saw reputable certification standards like TRUSTe and VeriSign Secured symbols embedded on their web page. That means they are legit.
I also came across review forums and blogs on cashforipads.com. Some commented on the kind of transactions they had online. Others told that they got the money immediately via their PayPal accounts. Generally, the reviews put the website into a very a positive light.
Just when I was certain that this site is legit, I decided to sell my Ipad to them.
Things turn out that it is better if I just do an iPad trade in. Why? There’s going to be more time and money spent on having it fixed and resold. It might even take days to be fixed in the Apple Care Centers. And hell! I was pissed of filling-in information in their official website. The questions about my Ipad were endless! If I resort to sell my Ipad by advertising in EBay or Craigslist, then I could be in for a very long wait. As much as possible, I don’t want to bring up the reason why I want to sell it. I couldn’t just say, ”Hey, I spilled coffee into it, that’s why it went nuts. But I had it fixed anyway. So buy it!” Nevertheless, I still want to get what I can still have if I sell my Ipad and a prospective client buys it.
Besides, having my Ipad fixed does not guarantee that it would work the same way it did before. So I thought i needed to trade in iPad! And that’s exactly what I did!
