The Annals of the Reinvented Past

The ‘Apple’ is the World

THE MODUS OPERANDI

Last year on October 10, the formidable tech giant released the 5th version of its iOS. Apple, whose product management strategies are anchored in vertical integration, is inventing the future once again by scurrying the annals of the reinvented past. It prepares us for what’s going to happen next. We know what kinds of ploys they will pull, yet we accept it with open arms.

Indeed, Apple is repackaging the delivery of its own software updates through an indistinguishable feature called PC Free. This feature enables iPhone and iPad users to update their gizmos via Wi-Fi connection- thus removing the traditional connection to a personal computer. Again: This means that the iPad owners need not have a PC to sync to their iPads.

Though this has become a segment of Apple’s modus operandi, the announcement sent no media titillation throughout the industry. Why was it so? Simply because people expected it long before the announcement took place.

Apple manages to do things repetitively without rendering us spastic. They do marketing blitzes which no other company does.

THE REINVENTION

I read once that “advertising is the poetry of capitalism.” While most companies are scrambling to respond to the gadgets that other competitors pitch, Apple does not. It sets itself apart by doing something others would not do just by seeing the most extraneous details. They do not only rely on forward designing. Rather, they also design sideways. To quote a beautiful article posted on fastcodesign.com: “Where others add, Apple overhauls. Where others spit shine, Apple reinvents.”

Let me give you an example: When the days of the OS X were still young, launching of apps was usually done in a primordial way. We either looked for a series of system folders or added shortcuts to them on our desktop computers.

But instead of clearing this up through a Windows-style Mega Menu, Apple gave birth to the Dock: A one-click access from all the apps. Subsequently, it offered a fine way to expand the folders from the dock for quick access to the files buried within them.

                According to the fastcodesign.com:
“With the introduction of iOS devices, minus the need for a barren desktop, Apple brought apps out into the open. They’re all displayed as tiles on the main screen of your iPhone.”

THE RESOLUTION
It is true that the success of Apple is getting more unparalleled every year. Will the streak of luck favor them for the next decade? That we will find out.

And to all of you laptop users out there, have you considered the necessary upgrade your old laptop is screaming for?

At cashforlaptops.com, an upgrade is not as difficult as it seems. Just sell your old laptop online and you can use the money you will get to purchase that newer and better laptop model!

You can always be on the good side of technology. Trust me!
